Fresh, fabulous, inspiring
Introducing a new and exciting concept in scrapbook design inspiration.

Our team of designers are renowned for their diverse and creative approaches to scrapbooking and altered art projects. Their wealth of creative experience in designing new and innovative pages and projects is already being tapped into by leading magazines, retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers in the scrapbooking industry. They now come together to bring you a whole range of fresh, fabulous and inspiring ideas for your scrapbooks and other memory art projects.

The team comprises: Fiona Beckman, Clare Brown, Jane Dean, Amber Harrop-Johnston, Debbie Jewell, Karen Leahy, Elaine Loughlin, Jennie Leon, Ali McGovern, Karen Miller, Debbie Nicholas, Katie Shanahan-Jones, Suzanne Torr and Kirsty Wiseman.

Classes will be issued four times during each calendar month on the 3rd, 11th, 19th and 26th. By subscribing to The Design Collective, on each of these dates you will receive:

* one major class project
* two additional inspiring projects (taking a variety of formats such as challenges, new ways to
use something, themed pages and so on);
* a range of tips and ideas from the design team.

A newsletter will sent direct to your email box with the relevant classes in the form of attached pdf files. Classes will focus on different design elements and techniques and will cover a whole range of projects from layouts to mini books to gifts and altered items. You can choose to print out the classes or save to disk; whichever format you choose, over a period of time you will be creating your very own Design Collection to use over and over again to create beautiful and meaningful pages and projects.

In addition to issuing project pdf files, we will be hosting a community forum for subscriber chat, help from the design team and a gallery so that you can share your work with us. And we will also host two cyber crops over the course of the year for even more fun, challenges and inspiration!

For just £10 a month (and NO! that is not a typing mistake!) you will be getting four major project classes, eight further classes and a wealth of knowledge and tips from the design team. That works out at under 85p per class! Plus, there will be no having to buy expensive class kits as we will be positively encouraging you to use up that stash mountain in the corner of your room! You choose what supplies you want to use, to match your own photos and themes, you get to stay in your pj’s and scrap in the comfort of your own home, whilst having the class designers to call upon for help and other subscribers to talk to in the community forum. And think of the money saved on petrol!

We will also be incorporating a Loyalty Scheme which will reward subscribers with additional benefits on the completion of a six and twelve month continued subscription with us. Subscriptions will be taken on a monthly basis, paypal is preferred but we will also accept bank transfer. This way you don’t need to pay out a lump sum up front, just the monthly subscription charge of £10.*

We will be taking registration bookings from Monday, 12th March. To make sure you don’t miss out on any important updates and registration details, please register your interest** by emailing to subscriptions.designcollective@gmail.com

Notes:

* Subscriptions will be due on the 27th of each calendar month to ensure you continue to receive the classes without interruption.

** Registering your interest at this stage is not a final commitment.

Now who could not be excited about this !!! I know I am.

Scrapbooking dares

This is my dare for this week – and what a dare to use are old stash and the frightening thing was – I have a lot of “old stash” and even more frightening some of it is not really THAT old – boy this industry changes so often and so fast.
Anyway I dug out some old Urban lily papers and scrapped about my eldest – she is twelve on Sunday and I wanted to mark what she likes at eleven. Caitlin turned seven yesturday too ( yes I know I timed those well !!) Boy they are growing up so quickly and hopefully they should finally have a little cousin joining them in a few days as poor Jennie is now 5 days overdue with her stubborn little baba. I keep jumping everytime thee phone rings – just in case LOL
Tomoorow I have some of that HUGE news to tell you so I will end this post now but tomorrow tune in it is BIG !!

Happy Valentine’s day 2007

Happy Valentine’s day all – Caitlin skipped to school with her FOUR Valentine’s cards in hand – I really am going to have to chat with that girl !! Becca thinks the whole thing is a bit mushy and just rolled her eyes when I asked her about it.
She gave her card we made in Bridgins last night to us instead – it was fun last night trying to teach 41 of them how to make cards, it is much harder than teaching adults I can tell you.
I made this little box for my hubby – I make him something every year he was a sweetie and got me a lovely card and I know it is not exactly original but he got me my favourite chocolates 🙂 He is also cooking my dinner tonight so I am not complaining !!

This is a close up of my little tin which contains piccies of my lovely family 🙂

And to get you in the mood some close up of my chockies – they are dark chocolate my favourite Yummmm !!

Also the dares I have to mention them as I managed to forget this week – naughty Amber !! In my defense I was quite busy this weekend.
It was all about the simple things this week and my simple pleasure is tea and my little one’s smile in the morning , it is enough to start my day the right way. We have a new face joining us this week at the Dare’sJane Dean – I am a huge fan of her work and we are so pleased to have her on board.
Hope you all have a loved up day 😀

Near Wild Heaven Layout

This is my Speshal Dare for this week – it is a really special dare as we are doing it in conjunction with the girls over at DMC. They dared us to make a card that was also a layout and as you can see I went for dramatic !! The title is near wild heaven ( which is an REM song for those that don’t know ) it has a special meaning for me and the hubby so it was perfect for my layout.
I am sorry for not being better with the updates recently but believe me when I say I am working on some huge things at the moment and not one single one of them am I allowed to
mention except the wedding invites I am working on !!
I am sure all of them will be revealed in there time and trust me some of them are HUGE !!
Other than that we are all muddling along – the kids had there parent/teacher meetings and they went better than I thought , with the move and all. Caitlin especially seems to be improving daily which I am happy about and in this school they have her reading down as excellent which I always knew was true 🙂 .
I took some picture when Mum and Dad came to visit last weekend, it was lovely to see them again, I do miss them being so close by especially on Thursday’s ( which used to be their day off ) and when they would pop in for tea.

Aren’t the snowdrops sweet – they are just beside the path on the walk through the woods and by the lake 🙂
